Welcome All!

I created this blog for all of you who can relate to my story.

I am a 41 year old woman that is looked upon as being blessed. I had a wonderful, but average child hood and great parents. I graduated high school and joined the United States Army. I served my country and traveled the world. I have three wonderful children who are doing wonderful and blossoming in society. I was married for 11 years and have been divorced for two years. I retired at the age of 39 and started doing my business. So most of you will say, yes , you are blessed. Through all those wonderful achievements I woke up one day and realized that I did not know who I was. The little girl looking back at me in the mirror was lost and lonely. All of those years I catered to my husband, children, career and even to my friends, which was a joy to do, but somewhere in there I never catered to that little girl which did not have a title. Now I am divorced, two children are in College and one in High School. I retired from the military and I am left with just "me". It is in our nature as Women to nurture and take care of others and if we stop to do just a little for ourselves, we feel guilty. Our famous words, " I don't need this right now it can wait". That "it" could be as simple as buying a new bra or as complex as going back to school and finishing a degree. I am not saying that we should not make sacrifices for our love ones, what I am saying how much of "you" do you give up for others. When life moves on and when you find yourself alone you are only left with yourself. If you never took the time to empower that little girl in you than that what you are left with after many years of neglect is a lost and lonely little girl.

Over the last two years I have spoken with over hundreds of women ranging from the age of 21-85 that have said that they also, have lost themselves in others, and want to find themselves again. God spoke these words into my spirit one day "1 hour just 4 me" (its time to nurture the little girl in me) . Now I want to share it with you all. 1 hour just for me" means literally taking some time out every day just for you, whether is quite time with your creator, taking a walk, reading a book or going to a movie. What ever it may be it is time for you. Some may say I don't have a hour, then I say to you work your way up to it, but make an effort. Are you not worth it? Every day get to know yourself a little better. On this blog I will be posting things that will help you feed your Mind, Body and Soul. I hope and pray that all of us will be able to wake up one day and say, that because I sacrificed 1 hour 4 for me; I can now be a better Wife, mother, employer and friend to you.
